CLASS OF 2013

Graduation Day for the Class of 2013 is finally on the horizon. We are very proud of each of our graduates. This has been a wonderful year with our students and we are looking forward to celebrating many activities with them.

Below is listed the schedule of activities for the graduates’ last days as members of Holy Family School. Please note the dismissal times for each day:

Tuesday, May 28                        Retreat conducted by Father O’Driscoll.

                                                       Appropriate dress required. Permission slip will be mailed.          

Wednesday, May 29                   Full day of class              Math & Social Studies Final Exams

Thursday, May 30                        Full day of class              English & Spanish Final Exams

Friday, May 31                              Full day of class              Science Final Exam

                                                        Graduation Photo           Gym classes as scheduled

Monday, June 3                           Graduation Practice 9:30 -11:30. Appropriate dress required.

Tuesday, June 4                          Trip to Canobie Lake Park, Salem, NH

                             Permission slip will be mailed.  Or graduation practice 9:30-11:30 in the event of                                     inclement weather. Appropriate dress required.
 

Wednesday, June 5                    Rain Date Canobie Lake Park.  Or graduation practice 9:30-11:30. Appropriate dress required.

Thursday, June 6                        No school for grade 8 students                        

                            Banquet in school hall. Details sent by committee. Students should arrive with parents.

 

Friday, June 7                               No school for grade 8 students

                                                         Students report to lower church at 6:45p.m. in caps and gowns. Graduation begins in                                  t

                             the upper church at 7:00p.m.

Class Pictures: Friday, May 31st. Please bring in your cap and gown.

 

Cap & Gown Measurement: Friday, March 15th at 8:30am.

CS3 Day:Tuesday, November 6. Students have the opportunity to visit Cardinal Spellman for the morning.Permission slips will be sent home.

High School Information Night

This open house will be held in the school hall from 7:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, September 20.

Class Retreat

The retreat will be hald at St. Mary's in Hanover on Friday, September 21st.

High School Entrance Exam Prep Classes

We are pleased to announce that we will offer six classes in preparation for the high school entrance examination. Participation on the part of the students is voluntary. Classes will be conducted from 2:50 – 3:25p.m.

Permission slips have been sent home.

High School Placement Tests

Attention 8th graders and their parents. The dates for this year's Archdiocese of Boston High School Placement Tests are and Saturday, November 17& December 8. The list of high schools that will be administering the test will be made available to the students. More information will follow.

CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL APPLICATION PROCESS

Test Registration:

  • The test dates are Saturday,November 17 & December 8. Test is restricted to 8th grade students.

  • Posters with locations of test sites are in the 8th grade classrooms.

  • You must register for the test from October 1 until the end of October at one of the participating high schools.

  • Fee of $30.00 must be paid at the time of registration (fee is paid directly to the high school with the registration form).

  • You may not take the test more trhan once

Application to the High Schools:

    • It is recommended that students apply to three schools.

    • Application packets are available from the high schools.

    • Students are reminded to complete applications carefully and mail them directly to the high schools.

Transcripts:

  • Please limit the number of transcript requests to five.

  • Complete the top portion of the transcript form.

  • Return the transcript form and a stamped, addressed envelope to school.

  • All transcript requests are due to the home room teacher by November 16. (please respect this deadline)

  • Transcripts will be mailed directly by Holy Family School.

Graduation Fee

The graduation fee this year is $160.This fee can be paid in full lor in two or four installments. Payments should be made payable to Holy Family School and sent to the attention of Mrs. Henry.
