FIRST COMMUNION

  We cordially invite you to attend three Teachable Moments  and to participate in the Grade Two Family Liturgies. The liturgies will be held at 9:00 a.m. All students in the school who are preparing to receive the sacraments of First Penance and First Communion are expected to attend these celebrations with their families. These will be teaching masses. The grade two teachers will reinforce what is taught during the sacramental preparations and religious classes.

              Listed below are the dates for Teachable Moments  and Grade Two Liturgies. Teachable Moments are for parents only. First Penance (10:30a.m. upper church)

Monday, February 6th

Parents are cordially invited to attend with children. Students will wear full school uniform and will be brought over to the church by their classroom teachers. Parents will sit with each child during the service and will bring the children to the confessor to introduce the child. The service will be finished by 12:00 noon and the children will return to school for the remainder of the day.

First Communion (11:00a.m. upper church)

Saturday, May 12

Seating assignments will be drawn by lottery and sent home on Friday, May 11th. Families will have seats for approximately 6 people.

May Procession and 8th Grade Liturgy (9:00a.m. upper church)

Monday, May 14

Our second grade students are invited to wear their First Communion clothing. A reception for grades 2 & 8 will be held in the school hall.
