Open House and Registration
We will have an open house and registration session for interested families on Sunday, January 30 from 10:30 - noon for the 2011-2012 school year.
Kindergarten Admissions Information.
All students entering Kindergarten will be screened in the spring. Information on exact dates and times will be forthcoming.
Admissions Information Grades 1-8.
All applications are conditional, based upon completed application, interview with student, conferences with transferring school and review of academic records.
CORI Forms.
CORI Forms are required of all adults who will be volunteering in any capacity in the school. If you anticipate volunteering in any capacity during the upcoming school year, we must have a CORI on file. Please take a moment today to complete the form.
School Hours.
Students are expected to be on line in the parking lot at 8:10 a.m. at which time they will be admitted to class. There is no supervision in the parking lot before this time. Dismissal will begin at 2:45 p.m. for bus students and at 2:50 p.m. for carpool students.
Tuition 2013-2014 School Year.
The tuition for the 2013-2014 school year will be:

Holy Family Parish will offer subsidies to children, beyond the first child, whose families are registered and active in the faith life of the parish and who have contributed by regular use of offertory envelopes a minimum of $600 for the period from January 1,2012 to December 31,2012. The policy on subsidy percents and the amount required to be given in offertory from other parishes should be worked out by each family and the pastor of their parish.
Rockland Bus Service.
All questions regarding bus service should be directed to the Rockland Public Schools Superintendent’s Office at 781-878-3893. Bus schedules are available Labor Day weekend and will be posted on the school doors.

Communications.
All communication is posted on this website: www.hfsrockland.org. You should check the website often for pertinent information. From time to time we will send home packages of information for students and parents.
Physical Education.
Classes are held once weekly. Children in grades 3-8 travel across Union Street to McKinley School for gym. Children in grades K-2 have gym classes at the school. A school gym uniform is required.
Lunch.
Hot lunch is served on a daily basis. Children may also bring lunch from home if they wish to do so. Information on lunch costs will be posted on this website located in the Menu section.
Virtus - Protecting God’s Children.
All volunteers are required to attend a two-hour training program Protecting God’s Children. The Virtus program is a best practice program for the prevention of negligence and wrongdoing, and the promotion of positive behavior.
Extended Day Program.
The Holy Family School Extended Day Program serves Holy Family School students Kindergarten – Grade 8.
The before school program is open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:20 a.m.
There is a one-time per year registration fee of $20.00 per student
$100.00 fixed rate per month for 5 days
$ 80.00 fixed rate per month for 4 days
$ 60.00 fixed rate per month for 3 days
$ 40.00 fixed rate per month for 2 days
The afternoon program is open from 2:45 - 5:30pm
$200.00 fixed rate per month for 5 days
$160.00 fixed rate per month for 4 days
$120.00 fixed rate per month for 3 days
$ 80.00 fixed rate per month for 2 days
HFSPA.
Our Parents’ Association encourages your involvement. Their activities include two book fairs, Christmas fair, end-of-year carnival among other events. Volunteers are welcome and needed. Communications from the HFSPA are posted on our website here.
Advancement.
In order to insure the future of our school, we have established an Advancement fund/office. There will be an opportunity during the year to participate in the raffle and the Celebration of Community Auction.
Dress Code.
All students in grades K-8 are expected to wear the official school uniform. On physical education day, the P.E. uniform may be worn all day. In the event that a student does not have the full P.E. uniform, he/she is to come to school in full school uniform.

Students violating the dress code may be informed to remain home until they are in proper uniform. Parents are responsible for sending their children to school in the correct uniform. The principal is the final determiner as to what is/is not acceptable in terms of clothing, shoe styles, jewelry, haircuts, and styling.
After School Activities.
Holy Family School is continually exploring opportunities for after school activities. In 2007, we established a dance program for girls in grades 1-8. There is a Brownie and Girl Scout troop. We are also the home of the Angels and Raiders basketball teams and cheerleading squad.
Summer Camp.
In 2007, HFS established a weekly summer camp. The camp was held at the school. The Magic Carpet Ride explored different countries, including their culture, language and food.
