Veterans' Day Celebration
On November 10, Holy Family School will hold its annual Veterans’ Day ceremony to honor servicemen. The ceremony will be held in the upper church and will be followed by a brief reception in the school hall. Students have been preparing for the event by writing a book entitled, Peace Is…. Copies of the book will be for sale at the reception and all proceeds will benefit the Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Boston. The children have also been making prayer bracelets honoring all American Service personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past year. Dr. Gerard Hayes of Hanover, recently back from a tour of duty in Iraq, will be the keynote speaker. Please help us honor the brave men and women of the armed forces by attending this very special community event.
This event will be held at Holy Family Church at 1:30p.m. Dress Down Day:
On Wednesday, October 7 HFS was awash in the colors of red and blue in support of our favorite team, The Boston Red Sox. Students were invited to wear Red Sox gear for the day based on their $1.00 contribution to the JImmy Fund. We are proud to announce that a check in the amount of $434 will be sent to that charity in our school's name.

To date, they have collected 130,000 keys, which have resulted in 26,00 pounds of donated food. Collection buckets are in every classroom.
