Our School - History

Holy Family School opened in the fall of 1941. The first school building consisted of eight classrooms and a gymnasium. The school grew rapidly due to the strong support of the pastor, and the commitment of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Boston. With the encouragement of Richard Cardinal Cushing, a new school was built in 1965. The new structure consisted of eighteen classrooms and a cafeteria. At the present time, all classes are housed in the newer building.

Holy Family School continues to adapt to the needs of the community and society in general. Our computer lab and equipment are updated regularly.  Holy Family School enjoys an excellent reputation for providing a quality Catholic education.

Catholic Identity

Our Catholic identity is an integral part of our school life. In addition to teaching the basic beliefs of our faith, we encourage our children to live their faith through active participation the liturgy, in para-liturgical celebrations, and community service projects. Our children are encouraged to live the corporal works of mercy.

Each year a service-agency is identified by the staff and as the children learn about the agency, they are encouraged to be Christ for others.
